Designed for the discriminating man, these sterling silver antique cufflinks feature vintage Chicago elevated subway tokens.
Remember when a train ride and a cup of coffee were both the same price? Remember having a pocketful of tokens? These beautifully designed antique cufflinks will delight all Chicago buffs.
Used from 1922 to 1999, these tokens have seen nearly a century of use. Distinguished by three symetrical cuts in the minting, these tokens are an excellent example of the industrial design of that period. Set in sterling silver, both the token's aesthetics and functionallity are maintained as cufflinks.
Each set of Chicago cufflinks use authentic transit tokens. Both are "heads" that each read "Chicago Transit Authority" with "CTA" in the center.
Presented in a handsome padded flip-open box with velvet and satin interior lining and a map of Chicago's subway lines on the top.
