New York City Bookends
Our New York City Bookends prominently feature the Empire State Building. This glorious structure was built in only one year and 45 days - which still holds the record for a skyscraper of such height. This Art Deco Style structure is struck by lightning more than 100 times each year. Architect William Lamb modeled his building on the shape of his pencil. Today it remains an enduring icon of the economic growth and architectural achievements of the 20th Century.
The Empire State building stands 1,250 feet high and has 102 floors. It is made of concrete and metal.
Each set comes with 2 bookends. They are made of resin with an antiqued finish.
